Established in 1920, Rosebud County Library prides itself as being a major community partner in Forsyth and all of Rosebud County.  We also serve as the library to Treasure County and are currently focusing on expanding our services to better serve those patrons.  Our library is ever-evolving and we pride ourselves on being a modern, progressive library that offers a range of services that includes a large collection of both non-fiction and fiction books, an impressive  assortment of Westerns, audio-books, DVD’s and music CD’s.  Computers are available to the public, in both desktop and laptop options, you can borrow iPads and tablets for in-library use, and we offer free internet and WiFi.  Our desktop computers feature links to websites with resume and cover letter templates, as well as on-line databases such as Encyclopedia Britannica.  We are a site for testing, and proctor tests in both digital and paper form for a variety of institutions.  Staff is available, by appointment, to assist patrons with their devices and downloading e-books and audiobooks or for more time consuming computer assistance.  We also regularly offer technology classes on a variety of technology based topics in small group settings.  From September through mid-July, Tot Time is held every Monday afternoon at 2:30 with Story Hour on Fridays at 11:00am.  We arrange for a wide array of programming, such as speakers, art shows, quilt shows, music, humanities programs, and youth activities like Summer Reading Program and Teen Lock-Ins.  New beginning in the fall of 2014, we will “Float the STREAM” at Rosebud County Library, with innovative hands on activities that focus on Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math.  Stop by the library and take advantage of our many free services!
